Pattaya Coffee

Your choices

Privacy, without surprises.

Search, save cafés and compare branches without allowing analytics. You control optional readership measurement and when the interactive map loads.

Your analytics choice

Google Analytics is off until you explicitly allow it in Privacy settings. Declining prevents this website from loading the Google tag. We retain an earlier choice made in this browser; you can change it at any time using Privacy settings at the bottom of any page.

If your browser exposes an enabled Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track setting, we keep analytics off and save a decline. Turning that browser setting off does not restore an earlier grant; you must allow analytics again.

Turning analytics off stops further site measurement and removes this site's accessible Analytics cookies. It cannot recall information already sent or a request already in flight. Blocking browser storage means your choice may apply only to the current page.

What optional analytics measures

After consent, eligible editorial and café profile pages can send page views and interaction information to Google Analytics, including selections of café or guide links and requests to open a branch website, directions or phone link. Our own visit events use the branch identifier and destination type or domain, without sending the phone number or full destination URL.

Page and referring URLs sent by our measurement code omit fragments and ordinary query parameters. Published campaign labels may be retained. Google receives the network and browser information needed to process an analytics request and may measure engagement while the tag is enabled. Advertising storage, advertising user data, advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled by this site's code.

Analytics stays unloaded on search, directory, map, comparison, privacy and editable-form pages, even after consent. It also stays unloaded on pages whose address contains parameters outside our restricted campaign labels. We do not send your search text, saved list, comparison choices or form text to Google through our measurement code.

Analytics may create first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_W0R491DR95 after consent, with a configured lifetime of up to 180 days that can refresh on later visits. Your consent choice is stored in this browser until you change it or clear site data. Google's privacy policy explains Google's processing.

Searches, saved cafés and comparisons

Café filtering runs in your browser. Saved cafés and up to two comparison choices are stored locally on this device; they are not a website account and do not automatically sync to another device. The site may remember the current results and scroll position for this browsing session.

Search and filter terms, or the two selected comparison branches, can appear in the page address so a result can be opened or shared. Anyone receiving that address can read those terms. A visit to such an address also sends it to the website host as part of the normal page request. Avoid entering personal or sensitive information into search.

Use the save and compare controls to change those lists. Clearing this website's browser data removes local choices, including your privacy choice. We do not clear saved cafés or comparisons when you decline analytics.

When you open the map

The interactive map loads only after you choose to show it or locate a listed café on it. Map images then come from OpenStreetMap. Your browser sends tile requests, including its network address and normal request information, to that service; the requested tiles identify the map area being viewed.

This website does not request your device's location. Listed café coordinates come from the publication's records. Opening the map is independent of your analytics choice. OpenStreetMap's privacy policy describes its service. Opening an external directions or café link takes you to a separate provider with its own privacy terms.

Site delivery and messages

The website host receives information needed to deliver pages, such as your network address, requested address and browser request details. Normal browser caching may store site files. Our service worker uses the network for pages and removes the old site-owned offline caches during an upgrade; it does not keep an offline copy of café information.

If you contact us by email, your email provider sends the message and its contents to the publication's contact address. Use the contact page for privacy questions or requests, and share only the information needed to explain the issue.
